Citizens of Delhi

Delhi has over 13,000 parks but not a single arboretum where citizens can be engaged in learning about plants and trees. Spread across 30 acres, the Biodiversity Zone of Sundar Nursery includes a micro-habitat zone which has re-created Delhi’s four native environement zones – the ridge, riverine, marshy and alluvial zones for providing diversity of flora to be planted at Sundar Nursery; the Gardenhouse, which will consist of distinct zones featuring flora varying from succulents that thrive under harsh desert conditions to exotic tropical ones displayed under one roof. Also featuring a nursery shop and small café, the Garden house will be a place for learning through the starting point for ecological trails and playful recreation for students, families and nature enthusiasts.
