Creating a model of historic city regeneration through community participation

“Development is sustainable only if the beneficiaries become, in a gradual manner, the masters of the process…” Over 120 residents of Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti provided training as part of the project are today employed to implement the project. Several hundred more are now members of Self Help Groups or Community support groups making significant earnings and taking care of facilities created by the project respectively.
